Museum display designers recreate stories, in this case about Egg Mountain and Troodon babies who "hit the ground running," often by projecting human traits onto the animals. Such anthropomorphism makes the past more relatable for visitors.
Although earlier this month Zurich students travelled east on the Dinosaur Trail, first graders at Meadowlark Elementary School in Chinook ventured west on May 20. They attended the Depot Museum in Rudyard. Additionally, fifth graders toured Havre Beneath the Streets.
Housed in a restored Great Northern Railway depot, the museum offers an authentic glimpse into rural life, transportation history, and the pioneering spirit that shaped Montana's northern plains. The first graders also learned about the area's Native American history.
