Emily Beard passed on May 21, 2026. Emily's battle with epilepsy has come to a rest. She is deeply missed by her family and friends.
Emily Elizabeth Beard was born on March 9, 2005 at 4:18pm to Holly Jo Beard and William W. "Bill" Young. Emily's young life was filled with adventures. She was the star of beauty pageants as a baby, holding the title of Montana State Princess. Until starting school, Emily joined her grandpa on the mail route. Showing her brilliance, she would help sort the mail and had the mail route memorized, handing her grandpa the bundles of mail as they came up onto the mailboxes.
Emily also belonged to dance for several years, receiving gold and silver medals. Emily enjoyed being in sports throughout elementary and middle school. Emily completed her four years of high school in 5 months, graduating as valedictorian of Penn Foster.
Emily enjoyed taking care of and working with the elderly. The job she loved most was at Timber Creek Assisted Living. She loved her residents. When not at work Emily continued her education in the medical field, holding several certificates and diplomas. She was currently ready to receive her certification in medical assistance. Always giving, she believed in saving lives and would donate blood often.
Emily liked to travel and spend time with her friends. She was always ready for a road trip with her dear friend Darssa Burkstrand. Emily also ventured out and met her friends in New York.
Emily loved her family dearly. She would often go to Chinook and stay with her Grandparents, helping out as much as she could. Emily and Ivy spent a lot of time together. Emily made sure Ivy was well taken care of when their mom was at work. Emily was also so proud of her big sister Amelia. Growing up they were inseparable. It was her big sister who named her. The bond between these two was so strong. Emily was also a proud Auntie. She recently was blessed with her nephew, Jeremiah, who she deeply loved and was so proud of.
When Emily wasn't at her grandparents' house, she spent time at her Aunt Tami and Uncle Butch Duncan's house while her mom was at work. Many memories were made there. She loved spending time with her aunt and uncle and Karlee and Taran who became more like siblings than cousins.
The last couple of years, Emily found a new family member, Andrew. They developed a strong bond, and you would often hear them saying "I've got your back" and they did. Emily held the family together. She didn't let anything or anyone come in between her and her family. Emily was truly a special spirit.
Aside from her family, Emily's greatest love was to go to work. Even though Emily has severe epilepsy, she did not allow for it to define her. She fought the odds and always pushed on. She bravely opted for the VN Surgery to help her lessen seizures. Emily loved her work family. Co-workers often said Emily was always there to help and would do what was needed.
We love you, Emily. You are, and always will be, in our hearts.
