Havre's Fourth of July Celebration at Pepin Park, Gone Forever?

For the second consecutive year, Havre’s long-time Fourth of July Community Picnic and Music Festival will likely be absent from the city’s Independence Day celebrations.

Since 2001, locals gathered for a free barbecue at Pepin Park, enjoying live music as part of their Fourth of July festivities. But in recent years, lead organizers and volunteers taking on the event have been tough to come by.

The event originated over 20 years ago when the Woodwick brothers, Woody and Vince, along with a small group, organized the event and solicited donations from local businesses to pull it off.
