NMHC first in nation to use new computerized endoscopy-assisting program

Northern Montana Health Care marked a national milestone today, becoming the first health care system in the nation to use a new computer-assisted system designed to help detect suspected colorectal polyps during an endoscopy.

Dr. Damian Ymzon, MD, used the CADDIE™ Device Computer-assisted Detection system during an endoscopic procedure Wednesday, July 22.

"This new AI-augmented system will help better detect polyps or other abnormalities in the colon," Ymzon said. "I am happy that we can bring this latest technology to the Hi-Line."
