We've Got The County Covered
The 2026 Hays Community Powwow was held August 4–9 at Mission Canyon in Hays, bringing families and community members together for a week of cultural celebration on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation.
The annual event included a mourners feed, grand entries, traditional singing and dancing contests, hand drum contests, princess dance specials and a community parade. Grand entries were held Thursday and Friday, with the parade taking place Saturday and closing events and specials on Sunday.
