The Harlem Wildcats boys basketball season came to an end this past week at the Northern B Divisional in Cut Bank.

The Wildcats entered the tournament as the District 2B No. 4 seed and began play against the District 1B No. 1 seed Rocky Boy Stars.

The Wildcats started strong holding a six point lead midway through the opening quarter and trailed just 18-16 entering the second stanza.

The Stars got their footing from then on, as they doubled up the Wildcats 24-12 in the second to take a 42-28 lead over Harlem by the half.

The Wildcats never managed to get things going the second half and fell to the Stars 93-47 dropping them into a loser out contest Friday morning against the Glasgow Scotties.

Senior Corbin Brockie and freshman Brad Cichosz each tallied 13 points in the contest with the Stars.

Glasgow opened up a 9-5 lead early but the Wildcats played the Scotties even the remainder of the first half, trailing 22-18 entering the break.

Harlem continued to play hard down the stretch but the Scotties slowly stretched the lead before ending Harlem's season with a 56-39 loss.

Cichosz led the Wildcats offensive attack tossing in 16 points in the contest. Senior Brockie added 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Wildcats.

The season may have come to an end but the future is certainly bright for a Wildcat team that will return a strong cast of young players including Cichosz and freshman Lane Allen among others.
