She also was a Sunday school teacher and a Brownie leader. She loved to dance, bowl, golf, hunt, play cards (pinochle), sewing club, Ladies Aide with Lutheran Church, and she was active in the American Lutheran Church all her years in Chinook. She embroidered pillow slips and hand towels, baked Norwegian pastries and other delicious cookies, gardened and canned, kept a meticulous house to name a few of her activities, and was the strength in the lives of her husband, children and posterity.
