    February is Black History Month, and the museum will be hosting Chinook’s Austin Haney to give us a special presentation on the Buffalo Soldiers in Montana. The Buffalo Soldiers were a United States Army Regiment that primarily comprised of African Americans. Please join us for “No Better Troops in Service: Buffalo Soldiers in Montana” on February 17th at 12:00pm, here at the Museum. This is a free event open to the public.     Hello! My name is Olivia Downs, and I am Blaine County Museum's new collection assistant. While I have been at the museum since July 2022 working on various projects, I am excited to now have a permanent place here at the museum! I was practically raised here in Chinook and graduated from CHS in 2015. Shortly after, I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and obtained a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology.
