    In the early morning hours of March 3, a total lunar eclipse occurred. Although the overall duration of the eclipse, including the penumbral and partial eclipse phases, was five hours and 39 minutes, totality was most visible in North Central Montana from 4:04 until 5:04 a.m. When Earth passed directly between the sun and moon, it cast a shadow across the lunar surface, turning the moon a deep reddish-orange.     A blood drive was held in Chinook on March 3, 2026, with 39 donors stepping forward to help meet the ongoing need for lifesaving blood.     Wilbert Frank, 94, of Chinook, Montana passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Northern Montana Care Center in Havre, Montana. Wilbert was born June 27, 1931, to Henry and Effie (Herdt) Frank in Hawk Springs, Wyoming. He was the oldest of seven children. He graduated from Sunflower High School in Scotts Bluff County Nebraska in 1949, the only boy in a class of seven. He served on active duty in the United States Army for two years from 1952 to 1954, including a tour of duty in Germany.... Full story
