    Four students at Turner Public School (TPS) were honored in a ceremony during the lunch hour on Wednesday, March 5 for their essay writing. Brenda Maloney, Vice President of the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Unit 109 of Turner, presented Fourth Grader Lucy Grabofsky, Sixth Grader Isley Welsh, Eighth Grader Savannah Heilig, and Sophomore Abby Grabofsky with First Place certificates and cash prizes in the 2025 Americanism Essay Contest.     James Roy Billmayer was born May 7, 1928, to Mabel (McGuire) and Roy Billmayer in Harlem, Montana. He passed away on March 1st, 2025, at Sweet Nursing Home in Chinook. Jim lived a very full life. He worked hard from the time he was a young man, growing up on the family farm. He graduated high school in Harlem and attended college in Missoula for a short time.
