Aaniiih Nakoda College Commencement is slated for Friday, May 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. The celebration will take place at the Fort Belknap Red Whip Gymnasium. Dr. John Spence will be presenting the commencement address to the forty-one graduates. Dr. Spence is Gros Ventre and Sioux and was born at Fort Belknap. Havre, Montana –Shores Floral, a Chinook floral shop, recently held a very successful fundraiser for the "Serving of Hope" fund. Tomi Simenson, owner of Shores Floral presented Christen Obresley, VP of Regulatory and Community Services at Northern Montana Health Care, a check for $7,015 for the fund. This past week, Stella Llante, Math Teacher for Chinook School District, learned that two Chinook Junior High School students had earned State Certificates as a result of their participation in the 2024 State Math Contest held in Havre on March 14. On Sunday, April 28, the Chinook Chapter of the FFA played host to Donkey Sports, Incorporated in the Floyd Bowen Gymnasium for an evening's entertainment with Donkey Basketball.
