The Blaine County Library Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday July 31st at 4:30 p.m. This week will be the last of our Summer programs. Teen Scene for grades 9-12 will be tonight from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at 1:30 p.m. will be the final LEGO Club for the summer. In preparation for the upcoming auditions for their production of Newsies, a musical based on the Disney film of the same name, Montana Actor’s Theatre (MAT) will be holding Audition Intensives on August 29 and 30 at the Havre High School Theatre at 4:00 p.m. for youth in grades 6-12. Auditions for the show itself will take place on August 31 with performances scheduled for November. Mark "Higgins" Blackcrow Sr. of Hays, MT was born on June 27, 1941 at Old Hays, MT. He was born to Joseph Blackcrow Sr. and Rosie Shortman Blackcrow. All his school years from 1st grade through high school were attended at the St. Pauls Mission in Hays MT where he played basketball. The Harlem Civic Association invites Hi-Line residents to their Community Yard Sale and Community Appreciation BBQ on Saturday, August 5. Ginger Hansen recently became Director of the Chinook Senior Center. Last week she helped facilitate the first "international meal" at the Center. She explained, "I wanted to shake things up a bit with some new dishes and different taste experiences for our diners." Blaine County Fair Groundskeepers Tasha Skoyen, Mya Berreth and Jenna Liddle put the finishing touches on a new paint job for a food booth at the Blaine County Fairgrounds.
