    Salvadore (Sal) and Kyra Chang arrived in Chinook last week. After an orientation in Mexico the couple made their way to start 10-months of service as Young Adult Volunteers (YAVs) in Chinook. This is the 13th year of the YAV program in Chinook. They are the first married couple to be a part of the local program. Sal and Kyra were married last December.     We have finalized our fall youth program schedule. We are changing up some of the programs a little bit. Hangout, for grades 7 through 12, will be on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. beginning September 16th. There will be karaoke, Wii, board games and other activities. Story Time is Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Hangout on Tuesday for grades 3 through 6 from 3:45-4:45 p.m. There will be crafts, coloring and other activities available.     The Chinook Sugarbeeteter suffered a tough loss on Friday night when they took on the Belt Huskies. Sophomore Ryan Bell launched a nice ball to senior Carson Nissen early in the game. With the two-point conversion good, it kept the Beeters in the game, trailing the Huskies 8-14.     Two new Principals have taken different paths to become administrators in the Chinook School. Danelle Gibson, new elementary principal went to high school in Chinook, while the new high school principal, Brian Rayburn's path has covered a great deal of the United States. Rayburn grew up in Colville, Washington, a small town about twice the size of Chinook. He has two sons, one in college and the other a junior at CHS.
