Photos from: Poking around Eastern Washington: Baseball technology, The Bull on the Bench and Dry Falls

This photo shows some of several hundred locks on the sides of a footbridge that is part of the Centennial Trail east of downtown Spokane. It's become a tradition for people moving to the area to take the locks they used while transporting their belongs and attach them to the fencing along the side of the bridge. The tradition of placing locks on bridges as memorials first originated in Europe.
