The Chinook Sugarbeeters have been hard at work, practicing twice a day since the first day of practice August 11. First year head coach Christian Lehnert along with his first year assistant Willie Miller will guide the 2017 Sugarbeeter this fall. The Harlem Wildcat football team began practice on August 11th in preparation for the upcoming season. Head coach Kelly Mills has been hard at work bringing this young group up to speed and getting them ready to compete in the revamped Northern B. It was a banner weekend for Blaine County swimmers at the Eastern Divisional in Sidney. 55 swimmers in all qualified to compete on the big stage at the state meet in Lewistown this Saturday and Sunday. Harlem Wildcat 2017 graduate Reece Hutton played his final high school football game this past Saturday in Billings as a member of the East All Star team during the 71st Annual Shrine Game Hutton wore No. 57 in the contest and played on the offensive line. Alexus Seymour of Chinook competes in the 400 Meter Dash in the 10-11 girls division at the Big Sky State Games in Billings. Alexus finished sixth in the event with a time of 1:20. Reporter's note. During the Fourth of July parade in Harlem I saw several folks handing out candy that I had never seen before. LaVon Meyers from Box Elder came to Turner this past weekend to put on a two day basketball camp for children ages Pre-K to High School. Age group levels were set up on both Friday and Saturday. In the camp the kids learned an assortment of skills, defense, offense, ball handling, as well as some scrimmages.
