On Friday August 15, 2016 the Environmental Science Faculty at Aaniiih Nakoda College hosted the "Know Free Roaming Bison" Summit. The event was well attended with both students and the general public approximately fifty attendees from Hill, Blaine and Phillips Counties participated. This event was an opportunity to present various viewpoints on the subject of free roaming bison. The goal was to discuss the cultural, political, veterinarian, and ranching perspective about the reintroduction of free roaming bison.
