In class I, grades three and four, the second place winning paper was awarded to Caleb Zellmer. The first place Americanism Essay Contest Winner was Wrien Wolery. Caleb is the son of Jordan and Elissa Zellmer of Hogeland, while Wrien is the daughter of Chet and Leesha Wolery of Turner.

She spoke about how difficult it was judging these papers as each one is so unique in its own content and the Auxiliary just wants to encourage these students to continue to participate in the contest and continue to show their patriotism by submitting their writing.

All the first place winners received a monetary prize as well as a certificate and their essays will move on to the state level of competition. The winners of the State wide essays will be announced at a later date.

Thanks to all the students who wrote their stories, to the teachers who pushed them to express themselves through their writing, and to the Auxiliary for sponsoring this contest. We have some amazing writers in our school!
