Tribal Wave, a Youth Mission group were the special guests at the Mid Winter Fair Youth Day. The group of Polynesian decent conducted stunts the children had never seen before and even invited them to dance with the group. The group spoke to the children about remaining drug and alcohol free.

The Midwinter Fair Youth Day was held on Friday, February 3, 2017 and began with the youth in attendance playing games sponsored by different Tribal Programs.

Games included Basketball competitions hosted by the CDC program, a music booth that handed out headphones hosted by the Tobacco Prevention Program and go-cart riding through a maze hosted by The Hays/Lodge Pole Gear Up Program.

The day was themed after the Mid Winter Fair, which was "Language Through Music." The opening acts were the Hays/Lodge Pole Schools dance/singing group, Harlem High Schools dance/singing group and Jamie Fox who is a locally renowned fiddle player.

Our Special guest included Youth with a Mission featuring Tribal Wave, a group of young men and women who sing, dance and speak about the positive aspects of life and remaining drug, alcohol and tobacco free. They are of Polynesian decent and moved to the Flathead Valley in Montana from the Pacific Islands.

The children in the crowd really enjoyed them as they conducted stunts that the children never seen before. The children were also asked to join in on dancing with the group and the look on their faces was priceless. There was a total 115 children in attendance. Every child in attendance received a toy from our toy buckets and a sack lunch provided by the Ft. Belknap Head Start program.

We are very thankful for the opportunity to provide this day to our local youth. I am sure they will remember this day for a long time.
