We sure were lucky yesterday to have the Loaves & Fishes children stop by and perform songs for us. We enjoyed it very much and they did such a nice job!
This week has tons of activities you won’t want to miss! We start with Whist on Wednesday, August 16 at 1 p.m. Then be sure to stop by from 3 to 5 p.m. for our Ice Cream Social fundraiser. The Board of Directors will be serving sundaes with all the toppings.
Then it’s Bingo on Thursday at 1 p.m. Rosalie Perrine won the blackout prize last week.
Make sure to come on down for the BBQ on Friday with watermelon and the works! Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served. Please call by 10 a.m. to reserve your spot for this meal. The Kitchen Band will be playing before lunch and pinochle will be played afterwards. Last week’s winners were Don Durocher and Virginia Olson.
Don’t miss out on the Public Card Party on Sunday, August 13 at 1:30 p.m. Pinochle is played all afternoon followed by a potluck. Everyone is invited.
Then it’s Pool & Cribbage being played on Monday afternoon and a Board Meeting at 1 p.m.
The Cancer Support Group meets on Tuesday, August 15 at 11:30 with special guest speakers John and Angie Hebbelman. This should be a wonderful talk on cancer awareness.
Shanghai Rummy will be Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Last week’s winner of the cinnamon roll was Don Durocher.
Last but not least, I have scheduled a group tour for the North harlem Colony on Wednesday, August 16. We will be leaving the center after lunch. You must sign up for this free activity.
