Harlem Food Bank busy with Fundrasing efforts

November 22, 2017

There have been a lot of things happening at the Food Bank in Harlem. In September a Drive was begun to raise money for the year and to raise money to match the $1000.00 from Town Pump. The match was made, thanks to the generosity of many people.

An application was made through the Blaine County Community Foundation Endowment of the Montana Community Foundation for a grant for a new deep freeze.

The food Bank received this grant for $750.00 for a new freezer. The freezer has been purchased and is now in use. On the 12th of November, 2017 a food drive was conducted by the Catholic Youth of their church from the Turner and Hogeland area. 1082 pounds of food was brought to the Harlem Food Bank along with $500.00 in donations Each and every one of these gifts is appreciated.

Coming up is a Food Drive at the Harlem Elementary School in competition for the Cat-Griz game. In December a Food Drive will be held by the Harlem High School. The Harlem Food Bank thanks anyone who has helped and supported them this year. Our job is much easier because of this support.
