Mange Takk…Norwegian for “Thank You”. School starts in about 2- 1/2 weeks, watch for kids. Also, that means the sports season will be starting very shortly as well... REMEMBER, if you are 60 and over you can get a FREE Senior Citizen Lifetime Pass that lets you get in to any Home sporting event absolutely free! If you don’t have a pass yet, you can pick one up at the Harlem High School Business Office.

Something I Need You To Do: Everyone who eats meals through the Harlem Senior Center needs to fill out the Nutrition Risk Assessment (available today) and return it to me. This is mandatory each year, according to NCAAA. This provides some of our CIL (Cash In Lieu) extra dollars we receive.

How would this work in this day and age?

On August 4th in 1922 every telephone in the United States and Canada went dead as switchboards and switching stations were shutdown for one minute in memory of Alexander Graham Bell, who had died two days before.
