Chinook Sugarbeeter 2018-19 Wrestling

The Chinook Sugarbeeters and Harlem Wildcat wrestling teams will get the 2018-19 season underway this weekend.

The Wildcats will be in Cascade at the Badger Invitational this Friday and Saturday while the Sugarbeeters will compete at the Havre Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

The 'Beeters return sophomore Rebecca Stroh. After finishing on the podium at the State Tournament a season ago, Stroh will look to do the same this season.

Senior Ross Reed also wrestled at the state meet in Billings a season ago and will look to improve on that effort this February. Junior J.T. Hauer was also a state performer a year ago and will look for a podium finish as well.

Also competing for the Sugarbeeters this season will be senior Tye Mitchell, sophomores Garrett Pruttis and Favion Couturier. Freshman include Wyatt Dunbar, Ethan Liddle and Drake Berreth.

Head Coaches Perry Miller and Adam Tilleman haven't been able to hold a practice with a full team as of yet. The Science Olympiad and John Deere Days with the FFA held last week in Bozeman included members of the team.

This weekend the 'Beeters will have five wrestlers competing and will look to have nearly everyone available the following week.

Competing in Havre will be Ethan Liddle, Garrett Pruttis, Drake Berreth, JT Hauer and Ross Reed.

The Sugarbeeters will host their first mixer of the season on December 7th. Both the Wildcats and Sugarbeeters will head to Glasgow on December 8th.

The teams will the close out 2018 at the Fort Benton Mixer December 13 and the CMR Holiday Classic December 14-15. They will be in Shelby on December 21.

The Sugarbeeters and Wildcats will return to the mat in 2019 when they compete in Chester on January 3.

The Sugarbeeters will host their final mixer of the season and recognize their seniors on Friday, January 18. The Wildcats will hold their Invitational on Saturday, January 19th and will honor their seniors then.

The Wildcats and Sugarbeeters will close out the regular season with the Big Sandy Mixer on January 24 and the Malta Invitational, January 25-26.

The Northern B/C Divisional Wrestling Tournament will be held in Cut Bank on Saturday, February 2nd.

The All Class State Wrestling Tournament will be held in Billings, February 8-9 at the Rimrock Auto Arena.
