'Beeters puttin' in plenty of work on the mat during the holiday break

Chinook junior JT Hauer has wrestled very well for the Sugarbeeters this season
The Chinook Sugarbeeters finished 2018 strong and are looking to carry that momentum into the new year.
Chinook Co-Head coaches Perry Miller and Adam Tilleman are excited about their team as they begin the home stretch of the 2018-19 season. It's just five weeks until the Northern B/C Divisional in Cut Bank on February 2 and the 'Beeters are getting themselves in position to make a strong showing.
"Things are going great, the kids are working hard. They have great attitudes, it's been a very productive holiday break," said Miller.
"We have put in a lot of technique time during our practices and the kids are getting themselves situated in at the weights they are going to finish the season at, it's been really good."
The 'Beeter wrestling room currently consists of seven wrestlers right now. They include senior Ross Reed, junior JT Hauer, sophomore Rebecca Stroh, sophomore Favion Couturier, sophomore Garrett Pruttis, freshman Wyatt Dunbar and freshman Ethan Liddle.
Chinook shined in Great Falls as 2018 wound down. Ross wrestled on day two of the CMR Holiday Classic and Hauer and Dunbar won individual titles at the Great Falls High Tournament that same Saturday.
Stroh also wrestled very well at Great Falls High, falling in the championship match. Liddle also found himself in the final match and finished second in his weight class.
The 'Beeters will be doing a bit of shuffling as 2019 gets underway, fine tuning the weights each of the kids plan to finish the season at. "It's what comes natural, we don't ask anyone to lose weight. They are working hard and it's where they are at," said Miller
As far as what to expect down the stretch, "Were excited the kids are excited. We have put a lot of time in the room at all positions and after closing out 2018 the way we did we are really looking forward to coming out strong to start 2019. We will see this weekend in Cut Bank,"
"They have come a long ways, even with JT (Hauer) and Ross (Reed), were still pretty young and pretty solid," concluded Miller.
Chinook will be in Chester on Thursday for the Hawk mixer and in Cut Bank Friday and Saturday, a great tournament to see where they are at moving forward.
