Aaniiih Nakoda College, Fort Belknap Agency-Congratulations to Xavier Hawley. He has been selected for Aaniiih Nakoda College Student of the Year 2021. Xavier is a junior at ANC and enrolled in the new Bachelor of Science, Aaniiih Nakoda Ecology Program. He graduated with his Associate Degree in Environmental Science in 2020 and he was on the ANC honors list with a cumulative grade point average of 4.00. In 2019 he received the President's Award for ANC. He is a school mentor at the ANC White Clay Immersion School and currently assists the 2nd through 4th grades. Xavier teaches the Aaniiih language to the Gilbert Horn Head Start children. He plans on being an Environmental Engineer and work at Fort Belknap Indian Reservation to improve the ecological ecosystems. Xavier's future plans include graduate school. He is the son of Sarah Hawley and he is an enrolled member of the Gros Ventre Tribe.
