Chinook to begin Major Improvements Project

The City of Chinook is about to begin a major improvements project on the water distribution system. The project consists of the following elements: Replacement of approximately 3,330 feet of aging water main including new valves, fittings, temporary water service during construction, reconnection of existing water services to the new water main, replacement of 12 deficient fire hydrants, installation of 6 service meter vaults on existing services, and construction of a new bulk water loading station located near the fire hall.
