Havre Welcomes A New Business - Hometown Plaza

August 24, 2022

Hometown Plaza – A unique local shop showcasing all the talented people of the Hiline. The grand opening of Hometown Plaza took place Thursday August 11th and was ecstatic to showcase all kinds of local artists and collectors. Owner, Sablle Ericson, commented “The turnout was great! Lots of treats taken, and many people couldn’t contain how excited they were for everything and how awesome it was!”

What is Hometown Plaza?

The Plaza is a small shop located to the left of Havre Hardware that showcases all kinds of local talent and collections from all kinds of people. Anyone can be a vendor and they can sell art, handmade items, and antiques. The vendors who have taken up spaces include:

• Montana Prairie Glass- Jewelry and home décor made from glass found on Montana Prairies

• Pallet Decor: Wooden signs

• K’s Creations: homemade cards, jewelry, reusable cotton pads, book pillows, and more

• KS Creations: Chunky Knit Blankets, magnets, onesies, tumblers, and jewelry

• Lisa Hanson: Wheat weaving

• SC Creations: Handmade keychains, mugs, and Gnomes

• Finn Furniture: Wooden art pieces and handmade furniture

• Foldin’ in the 406: books folded into custom designs

• Greg Wood: Antiques

• Morse’s: Antiques

With such a large collection of art and collectables it is hard to imagine Sablle will have any difficulty with her business! I can’t wait to see how Hometown Plaza grows to showcase and feature all the talent on the Hiline. There will be an online website set up as well for all those out-of-staters who might be interested in supporting Montana artists as well. If you are also a local person with talent and would be interested in selling your items, reach out to Hometown Plaza on Facebook and there may still be vendor spots available!
