Chinook Senior Center

August 2, 2023

Greetings From the Senior Center!

Did you know that anyone over the age of 62 is considered a Senior?

Did you know that all of the wonderful meals prepared here are available for only $5.00 for people over 60 & $6.00 for people under 60?

We had another fun week here at the Center. More new faces to enjoy with conversation, good food and fellowship!

Randi & Stephen Vaile are back in Chinook, residing in the Villa & join us each day for lunch, as well. We are happy to welcome them back into our community.

We have been working on this for awhile, so we are excited to share this news with you all. Please pass this information along to the people in our community.

If you need a ride for any MEDICAL appointments, local or otherwise, please contact SARAH @ 406-357-2294 (at One Health Clinic) between the hours of 7:30 & 4:00 p.m., the day BEFORE you need the ride, as she is partnering with North Central MT Transit, which is offering a van service, in addition to their regular schedule.

We are rapidly approaching September, which is when we will begin both our CORNHOLE league & BILLIARD league. Please call or stop by the Center to sign up.

Cribbage is Tuesdays at 1:00, Bingo is Thursdays at 1:00, the Band plays each Friday from 10:00 – 2:00.

We had a delightful surprise yesterday, when Jack Brandon stopped by and asked if he could play our piano! Wow! What a treat. That man can play!!!

Caramel Rolls & Plain Cinnamon Rolls are made fresh, each Thursday morning, at the cost of $1.50 per roll or $15.00 per dozen. Please call by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday & order these delightful goodies. They can be picked up after 7:00 a.m. on Thursdays.

Please remember, Wed., August 2nd at 1:00 p.m., Sam French, Museum Director, will be here at the Center sharing Evelyn Cole’s history of art that dates back to the 1950’s, with works that she did for the Girl Scouts as well as many of her other works that are still around. Call, join us for lunch & stay for the presentation!

Please call by 9:00, if possible, to let us know that you will be joining us for lunch, to allow our cooks adequate time to prepare our lunches for friends & neighbors.
