September 13, 2023

The Harlem Wildcat football team was back in action this Friday taking on the North Stars in Rocky Boy. The Wildcats had their way start to finish handing Rocky Boy a resounding 82-22 thumping to pick up their first win of the season and improving their record to 1-2 on the season. The Wildcats hosted the Polar Indians in their home opener. The Indians took down the Wildcats 64-36 in high scoring non-conference clash to begin the season. Harlem welcomed the Shelby Coyotes in week number two. The Coyotes nearly doubled up the Wildcats with a 54-28 victory in the conference opener for both teams.

Friday night in Rock Boy the Wildcats were hitting on all cylinders start to finish. Head Coach, Trenton Woodward, now in his second year with the team had plenty to say following the lopsided win. "We came out lackadaisical and kept them in the first half of the game. After a few halftime tweaks, we came out and controlled the seconds half. We had a lot of players step up and play well. It was really a team effort."

The Wildcats will make the short trip west to Chinook to take on the 0-2 Sugarbeeters with kickoff set for 7:00 pm. The game will be broadcast on NFHS for those who can't make it to the game.
