Lola Jean Werk Nez Perce born August 26, 1958 in Fort Belknap passed December 17, 2023 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Services were held at Saint Paul Mission in Hays, Montana at 10 am Saturday, December 23 and burial followed at Werk Family Cemetery.

Jeannie attended Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma, was graduated, then returned to Montana, married Bud Campbell and had one son, Jason Campbell, in 1980. They divorced and she had another son, Chase, with Joe Cuddemi in 1982. She moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, married RIk Mikkelsen, and they had a third son, Halvor, in 1985.

Jeannie subsequently met and partnered with Terry Thurlow and lived with him in Sandpoint until her death.

She worked for the Idaho Department of Lands, retiring in August of 2023 after 33 years.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Campbell of Spokane, Washington, Chase Mikkelsen of Oslo, Norway, and Halvor Mikkelsen of Otisville, New York and her three grandchildren, Cooper and Gunnar Campbell, and Emma Mikkelsen, her siblings June, Diane, Charlotte, Evan, Laurence, and Joe. nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles and her partners, Joe Cuddemi, Rik Mikkelsen, and Terry Thurlow. Her parents, Woody and Luella, siblings Mike and Lila, and Bud Campbell predeased her.

Officiant for services at Saint Paul Mission was Father Michael Schneider, funeral arrangements by Coffelt Funeral Home of Sandpoint and Wilderness Funeral Home of Chinook.
