Hello From the Chinook Social Senior Center!
By the time you all read this, we will have gathered with friends and or family to celebrate our Risen Lord. We should all truly pause and know that” Silly Rabbit, Easter is for Jesus” Where oh where would any of us be without Jesus?
Our Paint with Jack classes have been enjoyed by a great number of people who are learning that we each have a gift as different and diverse as we are. No matter what we believe about ourselves or our inability to create art, the truth is that each of us has a style as unique as we are. It has been fun to see the differ-ent designs that we all can master.
We have also had several people enjoying our Paint by Number classes and I am pleased to say that Vanda Montgomery has nearly completed her masterpiece and she will win the Grand Prize of having her painting matted & framed by my dear friends at Ben Franklin Crafts. They are amazing people who always help out, when I reach out. They have so many wonderful items in that store, if you haven’t been there lately, you should go see.
We could use a few more Cornhole players, as we have one that is absolutely awesome at this and is very difficult to beat! GET IN HERE! We play this each Monday, however, if we have people who would like to play on other days, we certainly do! It is fun and fun is GOOD.
We play Bingo every Thursday, at 1:00. Our very low cost of a quarter a card doesn’t offer a very big pot, but we play anyway, because it is fun and fun is GOOD. We have been considering raising the Bingo cards to a dollar, as other Centers are doing. We will just gentle our way through these changes.
We remind you that if you call us on Wednesday afternoons, we make fresh Caramel Rolls or Maple Bars each Thursday morning by 7:00 a.m.
