Lifelong Harlem resident C Dale Klungland, 85, passed away on October 31, 2025 in Great Falls, MT. Dale was born in Harlem, MT to Carl Klungland and Erma (Rafter) Klungland. He graduated from Harlem High School in 1958 and married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Vonnie Anderson. Farming was in his blood and he grew up working his parents land by Hogeland and then for his brother in-law Kenny Hansen south of Harlem. Dale and Vonnie started their family of 3 children out on the farm and moved into town when the oldest started grade school. In town, Dale was involved in the Volunteer Fire Department for 24 years, worked at the Harlem grade school for 27 years and drove the high school basketball sports bus for 10 years.
Dale had four sisters, three older and 1 younger, that adored him and he loved being their "baby brother". He is survived by his wife, Vonnie, of 61 years, daughter, Wendy (Jack), sons, Scott (Missey) and Stacey (Courtney). Dale had 6 grandsons, Key (Kelley), Jimmy (Bree), Noah, Drew (Abby), Kolvy, Connor, granddaughters, Avree (Ethan), Addie (Cam), and 1 ½ great-grandsons, Kaylor & Boudreaux in Jan. 2026. His sisters, Betty Campbell, Carol Newbauer, Gloria Mummey and many nieces and nephews. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Erma Klungland and sister Elsie Hansen.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 2pm at the Harlem Presbyterian Church. Burial followed at the Harlem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Harlem Volunteer Fire Department or the Harlem Presbyterian Church.
