Chinook boys and girls swept at Fort Benton, Box Elder

Once upon a time, Chinook was big-time rivals with both the Fort Benton Longhorns and the Box Elder Bears. But that was the old District 9C days, and times are now different.

And these days, the battle between Chinook and Fort Benton is a Class B matchup, and last weekend, it didn’t go Chinook’s way for the second time this season.

Last Friday, the Chinook boys fell to Fort Benton, 61-47. Fort Benton’s win meant a season sweep over the Sugarbeeters, as the Longhorns were able to pull away late.

Jameson Norboe scored 14 points, and Ryan Bell added 13 in the tough loss.
