The postseason didn't go quite how either Chinook basketball team hoped it would. Instead, the first week of the hoops postseason was the end of the line for both the Chinook boys and girls teams.
Last weekend in Cut Bank, the Chinook boys went 1-2 and came up one victory shy of reaching the divisional tournament. The Sugarbeeters opened the 1B boys tournament with a 59-49 loss to Conrad. The Cowboys led all the way, and while Chinook rallied late, it wasn't enough. Ryan Bell scored 19 points in the loss, which dropped the Beeters into the loser-out round.
