The Chinook track and field teams were looking to build momentum this weekend, but instead, poor spring weather caused the Shelby Invitational to be cancelled last Friday. The Beeters will be one of many area teams to compete in this weekend's Havre Lions Invite in Havre.
The weather was bad in Shelby, but Harlem was able to travel to Missoula for the SSHS Invite last Saturday. The Harlem boys finished fifth out 23 teams with 38 points. Once again, the Wildcats were stellar in the distance races. Jayvon Big Knife placed second in the 800 meters, while Ethan Walker and Donovan Archambeault both placed in the 1,600. Walker also won the 3,200, while Treyton Mount placed fourth. The Wildcats also placed second in the 4x400 relay to help them rack up some major team points.
Harlem will also attend the Havre Lions Invite.
