Out Our Way: Busted

Out our way folks some times say,” I may not have busted many broncos, but some sure busted me!” Today is one of those days.

Copper and I were on our walk and coming into the back yard, I lost my balance and fell. No big deal except the legs and knees refused to cooperate, I had to crawl to the fence and pull myself up. Getting old ain’t for the young — or those who think that the youth inside and the old coot on the outside are the same. Nope! Nu-uh! Can’t be done!

Today is Memorial Day — and a friend reminded me of his flight home after his tours of those who did not make it home alive.
