Northstars win six in one week, capture regular season district championship

Thanks to some red-hot baseball during a heatwave, the Havre Northstars American Legion baseball club had a chance to win the Northern A regular season title on the final day of the season.

The Northstars got to that point by sweeping the Lethbridge Miners last Tuesday in Lethbridge. Havre won game one of the road doubleheader, 9-6, then they blew out the Miners 18-4 in the nightcap.

The very next day, Havre was in Conrad where the Northstars crushed the Tri-County Cardinals twice, winning game one 18-12 and game two 14-0.

Then came the final weekend of the regular season.
