The Chinook Sugarbeeters are heading back to the Class C football playoffs. While the Beeters already had a strong season and were locked into a playoff berth prior to last Friday night's regular season finale with Simms, they certainly wanted to end that regular season on a high note. I think we need to send Special and ongoing “thank you’s” to Theresa, Ritch, and multiple volunteers who have filled church pulpits each week in Chinook and surrounding areas. The announcement that after 127 years of service the Jesuits would be leaving St. Paul Mission was a shocking surprise to the congregation of the church in Hays.
