  • 40 brave cold, Give Blood at Chinook Drive

    There were 40 people out and about who braved the cold and windy weather on Tuesday November 7th to stop by and donate blood. Of those 40 there were 35 viable pints on a goal of 40. There were 3 first time donors: Tandie Solberg, Rachel Gunderson and Paxtin McCann. Carol Mangold and Josh Nordboe reached 1 gallon, Tuzz Langford 2 gallons, Melanie Qualls 4 gallons, Shelli Pruttis 9 gallons and Mark Weber 11 gallons.     A break in the cold weather brought out shoppers to kick off the 2017 holiday season. Even before the famous 'Black Friday' local artisans and merchants offered numbers of unique gifts for the upcoming season.     The receiving line was a touching memory to the students as well as the Veteran's present at the annual Veteran's Day program. The entire crowd went through the line and shook the hands of each Veteran that was in attendance. Many of these children are grandchildren, children, a niece or nephew, or perhaps even a child of the Veteran's that were there. It was quite moving to see the respect that was given this day.     Ag Education Teacher, Harlem High School The Harlem FFA Chapter traveled to Bozeman November 8-11th for the John Deere Ag Expo. The chapter competed in Agronomy, Mechanics, and Livestock Judging contests. The students represented Harlem well in the events.
