Red Ribbon Week is celebrated throughout Turner school

Red Ribbon Week was celebrated all week at the Turner School. The Red Ribbon is a symbol is remind us to be drug-free. The first red ribbon week campaign was organized in 1988, in honor of Enrique (Kiki) Camerena, a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent who was killed in Mexico in 1985 while working undercover in his "battle against illegal drugs." Since then, Red Ribbon Week is celebrated the last week of October each year. The Turner Public School joins other schools across the United States in recognizing this cause.
