Blaine county Library

December 19, 2018

The 'Middle School Hangout' at the Blaine County Library is now watching a movie once a month! Next movie will be the January 8th starting at 3:30pm!

The Library will be closed Monday December 24th and Tuesday December 25th in observance of Christmas. We will be closed the following Tuesday in observance of New Year's.

The movie today will be "The Christmas Train" at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. The movie is not rated, and it runs for one hour and 39 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served. "The Great Outdoors" will be the movie next Wednesday. If anyone has a request for a movie, just let us know and we will do our best to show it. You can also let Marlene at the Senior Center know what you'd like to see.

There is still time to check out some Christmas books from the display table to enjoy! We have fiction and non-fiction, adult and children's books to choose from.

We have a couple of Westerns ready for checkout this week. "The Young Desperados" by Bill Brooks is an Ivory and Albert novel. "Comanche Sunrise" by Ethan Wolfe is a Youngblood Brothers Western. Fans of "A Game of Thrones" will be excited to know that George R.R. Martin has a new novel. "Fire & Blood" is the first volume of the definitive two-part history of the Targaryens in Westeros. It is set 300 years before "A Game of Thrones" when dragons ruled Westeros. This book will give fans a whole new appreciation for the dynamic, often bloody, and always fascinating history of Westeros. "Broken Ground" by Val McDermid is a Karen Pirie novel.

Small Foot and Christopher Robin are new movies available this week.

Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. Middle School Hangout, for kids in grades 6-8 is held on Tuesday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. LEGO Club is Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and is open to kids in grades K-6. Younger kids are welcome to attend with an adult.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what's going on!
