The library staff is attending state library conference this week so the library will have shortened hours. On April 10 and 11 and library will be open from 12:30 - 3:00 and on April 12 it will be open from 10:00 - 12:00. Thank you to the volunteers who are working while we are away.

The Book Club’s new selection is “Small Great Things” by Jodi Picoult. You may pick up your copy this week. The first discussion will be April 15, 4:00 P.M. in the library meeting room.

The Book Challenge for April is to read book with a two-word title. How are you doing on the 2019 Reading Challenge to read at least 52 books this year?

Summer Reading will begin at the end of May. The theme this year is “A Universe of Stories” which will focus on everything space. The library would like to purchase some new children’s books to support the summer reading programming. If you would like to make a donation towards this project please contact the library. Please stay tuned for more details about the summer reading programs and activities for all ages.

We are also seeking donations to the summer reading supplies wish list: aluminum foil, mineral oil, blue food coloring, star confetti, glitter, Voss plastic bottles, bubbles, star cookie cutters, cone-shaped water cups, ice cube trays, Oreo cookies, Ziplock bags, quart size, applesauce, flashlights, glitter glue, 1/2 gallon milk jug, gallon milk jug, 16 oz. milk jug

​The next Learn at the Library program “Do’s and Don’ts of Tree Care” will be April 23, 7 P.M. Juli Snedigar, Blaine County Extension Service, will be the guest speaker. Refreshments will be served.

New books this week include these mysteries: “Unto Us a Son is Given” by Donna Leon, “The Black Ascot” by Charles Todd, and “The Stranger Diaries” by Elly Griffiths.

“Watcher in the Woods” by Kelley Armstrong, “The Silhouette Girl” by V.C. Andrews, and “The Next to Die” by Sophie Hannah are thrillers ready to be checked out.

Two new anthologies include “The Very Best of the Best: 35 Years of the Best Science Fiction” edited by Gardner Dozois and “New Poets of Native Nations” edited by Heid E. Erdrich which celebrates twenty-one Native poets first published in the twenty-first century.
