Blaine County Library

April 29, 2020

In accordance with directives from Governor Bullock, Blaine County Library will be implementing our Phase One reopening plan effective Monday May 4, 2020. We will be open our regular hours, but we will have restrictions in place.

We ask that if you are sick, please do not enter the library. All patrons and staff will wear a face covering, which could be a mask, a scarf or a bandana. Hand washing will be required upon entering the building prior to any computer use or book browsing. Patrons will be expected to practice social distancing and stay 6 feet away from other patrons and staff. In order to comply with social distancing only half of the patron computers will be available. Computer workstations will be sanitized after each use. Only 8 patrons will be allowed in the library at any one time and each patron will be limited to 30 minutes in the library per day. The circulation desk will be sanitized between patrons. All toys, puzzles, blocks, etc. have been removed from the children’s area. The meeting room will not be available for use and no programs will resume during Phase One.

We would like patrons to return items in the drop box or in the crate set up next to the circulation desk. This will enable staff to properly quarantine and sanitize items. Those patrons who do not wish to come into the library can still get curbside delivery. We will also deliver to your home or mail items to you. Just call, email or send a Facebook message with the items you would like to check out.

Our main goal is to keep patrons and staff safe while continuing to provide services. There is no set date for the length of time we will operate in Phase One. We thank everyone for your patience and cooperation as we move forward with reopening.
