Gerald "Jerry" Lee Hutton

In Loving Memory of Gerald "Jerry" Lee Hutton

Jerry, age 70, passed away on November 15, 2023, at home in Grand Junction CO surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on May 6, 1953, in Havre, MT to Gerald and Donalee Hutton. Jerry grew up in Turner MT where he graduated high school. He spent several years of his life living and working in Kalispell, MT before eventually ending up in Grand Junction, CO for the last 15 years of his life. Jerry was a talented carpenter and welder that could build or fix anything. He never met a piece of heavy equipment that he couldn't run. He enjoyed gardening and could can tomatoes and pickles with the best of them. His culinary claim to fame was his amazing shrimp cocktail (using the straight horseradish and "none of that damn horseradish sauce!") and "macaroni and tomatoes". His interests included hunting, fishing, picking huckleberries, airplanes (he loved going to the air show every year), watching Nascar, playing slot machines and buying lotto tickets (he was always going to "win the big one"!). His love of animals could be seen whenever he was around them. He especially has a soft spot for schnauzers. Jerry loved a good story about his younger years and the adventures and trouble he would always manage to find. He loved to tease and had a witty and dry sense of humor (that often included his own personal explicit language!).

Jerry is survived by his long time partner Mary Vaughn, her children Erica and Alexis, former spouse Noella Brooks and their children Stephanie (Robert), Erika (Bobby), and Derek and former spouse Deborah Moore and their son, Nathaniel. As well as grandchildren, Serenity, Grady, T.J., and Barrett, siblings, Anita, Jim (Shirleen), and Mary Ann (Todd), and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Gerald and Donalee.

A memorial will be planned for a later date in Montana.

Jerry Lee will be greatly missed by his friends and loved ones.
