We've Got The County Covered
The Turner Car Show and Fly In was a huge success this weekend. The quiet town of Turner was abuzz all day with various sites and sounds of cars, trucks, bikes, and airplanes. There was a great turn out with 78 entries. There was a bar, lunch, and several other vendors available as well as Big Flat Grocery Store. The Lions Club served breakfast to anyone who wanted to take advantage of that. There were several airplanes that flew in for the event as well as the entries.
Big Flat Grocery held a raffle for two Corn Hole boards. The boards were made by Melanie Watkins. The lucky winner was announced around 3;00 p.m. The recipient was Stacie Cornell. Congratulations, Stacie and huge thanks to Melanie Watkins.
There was a Corn Hole and baseball tournament throughout the day along with much visiting and a wading pool for the kids, This proved to be quite fun. The winning team of the softball tournament was the Beer Guts and second place was Hired Guns of Hogeland. The winning team received half of the entry fee kitty and the other half was donated to the Lions Club. The day ended with burgers served and people started pulling out of town. It was a fun day for all.
Much help was done by a host of good workers, too many to solely name. Thanks to all of those who played a part in making this such a success!
