Wildcats Can't Keep up in 75-54 Loss to Cut Bank

February 1, 2023

Wildcat sophomore Diondre First Raised has stepped into a bigger role this season.

The Harlem Wildcats hosted the Cut Bank Wolves on Saturday in their only contest this week. The Wildcats were looking for a better showing than their previous meeting in Cut Bank, a 83-22 set back on January 16.

The Wildcats were much better and matched the Wolves on the scoreboard after one quarter 19-19. Cut Bank separated themselves a bit before the half taking a 37-31 lead into halftime.

The Wildcats continued to play hard but Cut Bank slowly extended their advantage and lead 54-42 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Wolves closed out the contest with 21-12 fourth quarter to secure a 75-54 win over the Wildcats. Harlem was certainly a better team this go around.

The Wildcats were led on the night Senior Marley Stewart with 21 points. Freshman Matt Billmayer added eight in the contest. Harlem will be in Chinook on Friday and host the Wolf Point Wolves on Saturday.
