Reed completes Certified Appraisal Training

Lucas Reed recently completed three years of apprenticeship and schooling; officially receiving his license as a State Certified General Appraiser in August 2023. He completed 3000 hours of apprenticeship with Dave Anderson Appraising prior to Dave's retirement this year and 300 hours of classroom time before passing his test and applying to the State of Montana for his Certificate.
"Lucas put a tremendous amount of time and energy into completing his training. Having Lucas as our staff appraiser will be beneficial for our customers and Independence Bank," said Matt Wertheimer, Senior Vice President.
Lucas grew up in Turner, MT and received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from MSU-Northern. He started at Independence Bank in 2019 as a credit analyst, going part-time to finish school, and transitioning to full-time upon graduation. In 2020, he began with Dave Anderson as an appraisal trainee. Lucas enjoys watching football and basketball, golfing, curling, working on home renovation projects, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
