We have two non-fiction books available this week. “The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living” by Meik Wiking will teach you how to embrace Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga) and become happier with this definitive guide to the Danish philosophy of comfort, togetherness, and well-being. “Attack from Within: How Disinformation is Sabotaging America” by Barbara McQuade is an urgent, comprehensive explanation of the ways disinformation is impacting democracy, and practical solutions that can be pursued to strengthen the public, media, and truth-based politics. Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett faces two different kinds of rampaging beasts—one animal, one human in “Three Inch Teeth by C.J. Box. “The Teacher” by Freida McFadden is a mind-bending, psychological thriller. Miranda Abbot, a once-famous TV sleuth, signs up for an amateur theater production, where there is an onstage murder, and a town full of suspects in “I Only Read Murder” by Will & Ian Ferguson. When death becomes entertainment, every life has a price and Cassie West is about to find out how much hers is worth in “Past Crimes” by Jason Pinter, a stunning speculative thriller set in a future world in which virtual reality isn’t just a game, it’s daily life.

Winter programs are now under way at the library. Some of our programs have changed and we altered the time a bit to allow kids to get home before dark. Monday will be 4th-8th grade activity from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m., except the last Monday of the month. Tuesday will be Story Time from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. This program is for preschool and younger children. Hangout for grades 5-8 will be Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45 p.m. Wednesday will be Home School Hour from 1:30-2:30 p.m. This is a family led program, so if we don’t have volunteers to host the program, there won’t be one that week. We are happy to provide supplies for programs. If you would like to sign up to host, you can find a google doc signup sheet on our Facebook page, or you can contact Emily at the library. Teen Scene for teenagers 13 to 18 is every other Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The next one will be March 6th. Thursdays will be LEGO Club from 3:45-4:45 p.m. Fridays will be Movie Day. We will show a family friendly movie from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join us. We do ask that no children under 5 attend movies without an adult. We provide snacks and drinks at all after school programs.
