Happy New Year from the Harlem Public Library! If you have completed the December Book Challenge, please notify the library to be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate from a local business. The Book Challenge for January is to read a book set in the snow.

The weekly programs will begin the week of January 6th. Children ages 0-5 and their parents/caregivers are encouraged to attend Storytime on Tuesdays at 10 A.M. Elementary students are invited to After School Squad on Wednesdays at 4 P.M. Everyone is welcome to attend Lego Club on Thursdays at 4 P.M.

The Book Club members may pick up the new selection “The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride” by Joe Siple the week of January 6-10. The first discussion will be January 13, 4 P.M. in the library meeting room.

The library along with the Montana Library Network and the Montana History Portal present “Preserving Montana’s Oral Histories and Traditions” January 16, 6:30 P.M. This program trains participants how to interview, collect, and archive oral histories in their communities. You may join us at the library for a watch party or watch on your own device by registering at https://tinyurl.com/HistoriesandTraditions.

Start the new year off with a new book from the library! “The Sequel” is by Jean Hanff Korelitz, bestselling author of “The Plot.” Danielle Steel readers will want to check out “Trial by Fire.”
