Blaine County Library

The Blaine County Library is collaborating with the Blaine County Museum and the Chinook Senior Center to bring author Chris La Tray, to Chinook on Tuesday November 18th. Chris La Tray is an Anishinaabe/Métis storyteller and citizen of the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians, as well as Montana’s 11th poet laureate (2023–2025). A descendent of the Pembina Band of the Red River, he is the author of the multi-award-winning One-Sentence Journal, Descended from a Travel-worn Satchel, and his latest book, Becoming Little Shell: A Landless Indian’s Journey Home (Milkweed Editions, 2024).
