Much-needed precipitation has fallen in this part of Montana in the last few weeks, turning around a near-absence of moisture the first months of the year, but the area is still far-short of normal.
National Weather Service reported Friday, the deadline for this article, that Havre had received .68 inches of precipitation so far in April, ahead of its normal amount of .51 inches for April 17.
In March, Weather Service reports Havre received the average amount for the month, .5 inches.
